Buy Sell Merge Accounting Practices

Yes Christmas is looming and you still have a pile of work to get out the door and also lots of fee accounts to be processed and at least some, to be paid BEFORE you close!!

I have been busy working with our senior team brokering Accounting Practices.

 Our Executive Recruitment team is making huge inroads in placing High end Accountants in firms.

 As most of you are aware, my background is not only running my own successful business in accounting recruitment, but more recently in the last year set up a multinational firm from absolutely no presence in the NZ market prior.

 However we both know that financial security is based on “Equity” and not on making someone else’s dreams a reality through your grind!

 

On the Brokering front:

 We continue to be besieged by the many Buyers in the market, however at the same time we are working with many vendors on our books looking for the right fit. (Most vendors are not advertised on our website… Why? Because we do not want Partners to start pointing the finger at various firms etc)

 

Many of you who have filled in our buyer or seller forms will realise how stringent and tight we are with our processes. ( We pride ourselves on “Absolute” confidence when dealing with the Accounting Profession)

 We both know the CA market is a niche one at that, confidentiality is absolutely paramount and we understand totally how sensitive this Public Practice market is in terms of information.

 

A good time to consider selling?

 You bet!

 With your 2014/2015 Financials hot off the press you are in a very good position to give up to date information. In addition you will have by now bedded in all those new clients that came to you at the start of the year etc

 So, I guess the counter argument is that you want to defer thoughts of selling until you are through the mad end of Financial year rush.

 You may be wrong as by the time we get through the often difficult negotiations another year will have passed!

 And it will be Christmas again!

 So be aware that now IS a good time to begin the process of putting your practice on the market.
